In a strategic move to revitalize its weekend programming, Telecinco has just launched ¡De friday! a new program aimed at Friday nights. This launch comes after a series of significant changes to the Mediaset grid, which began last June.
The audiovisual group, in an effort to restructure its content, decided to say goodbye to some of its most iconic programs, such as Sálvame and Deluxe. This new course left significant gaps in several time slots. Faced with this challenge, the new management of Mediaset embarked on the search for suitable alternatives.
This new space, which has had Ángel Cristo Jr and Joana Sanz as its first guests, is directed by Beatriz Archidona, who makes the leap to prime time after her success on TardeAR, and Santi Acosta, one of the most legendary faces of Telecinco and which represents a different way of making heart.
The Madrid journalist, known for having hosted programs such as Salsa Rosa and Dolce Vita, has had a love life with almost as many changes as those that Telecinco is undergoing.
Currently, the 57-year-old journalist shares his life with Esther Palomera, one of Mediaset’s most popular political commentators. The journalist, who also has a consolidated presence in and other media, has been a partner of former politician Eduardo Madina.
Before his current relationship, he was married to Sandra Fernández, a key figure in the field of communication and mother of his children. Fernández, who was his boss on shows like Salsa Rosa and Dolce Vita, continues to maintain a good relationship with Acosta despite their separation in 2011.
Before Fernández, Isabel Martín Blázquez was Acosta’s partner. She is the sister of journalist Marisa Martín Blázquez and sister-in-law of journalist Antonio Montero. This love arose in the workplace, since they both met working together on television. However, their union did not prosper and they ended up divorcing without having children.
