Zara is once again betting on the beauty industry with its latest novelty. After surprising in May 2021 with its own makeup line that it has been expanding with new products that are sweeping sales, Inditex’s flagship has teamed up with the models’ hairdresser, Guido Palau, to launch Zara Hair.

The British stylist, who has worked for Prada and Steven Meisel and created the hairstyles worn by the models in the Freedom! video clip. by George Michael, has been chosen by the group’s president, Marta Ortega, to create this exclusive collection of products that has Kaia Gerber as its image.

Under the title of Glitter in Gold, Make-Up for your Hair, the line is made up of four products designed to elevate the most sophisticated Christmas hairstyles. “As a professional with a long history in the world of hairdressing, I work with very powerful products with great hold, but I think that the public looks for products that do not add weight, are greasy or are sticky and difficult to remove. I think the key is that the products fulfill their mission, but are practical and easy to use,” explains the hairdresser, who also highlights the facet of his model. “I love Kaia. She represents Zara Hair like no one else, both for her speech and for the most aspirational part of her. And she wants to have fun with her hair,” he points out in a video.

For her part, Cindy Crawford’s daughter is delighted with this new alliance for Zara. “I don’t trust anyone as much as Guido when it comes to my hair. Working together is always a lot of fun, and Guido always makes me feel safe and encourages me to experiment. Every time I’ve cut my hair impulsively, it’s been thanks to you and you have been in charge of doing it,” says the model while they show the products from the collection.

Guido Palau has created two hair products. The first of them is the Gold Gel, which provides shine and allows you to work on your hairstyle more comfortably. “I like to apply it directly with my fingers or by adding a little product on the palm of my hand, and distribute it through the hair, or simply apply it to the tip of my finger and gently slide the product over the hair,” explains the hairstylist. , which defines the second product, the Gold Glitter Spray, as “sophisticated, subtle and provides the perfect finishing touch.”

The Briton has also created two accessories: the Gold Hairpins, which guarantee perfect hold so that the hair does not fall out, and the Gold Comb, with wide teeth that is suitable for both straight and curly hair. “It’s very practical and doesn’t get tangled in your hair,” he says.

The Zara Hair collection goes on sale this Thursday, November 30.
