Paying tribute to the arts and their greatest exponents is an intrinsic part of the Magazine’s philosophy. In its pages the luxury of the fashion and beauty industry coexists with music, crafts, cinema and gastronomic culture. Art in capital letters that yesterday met in a historic enclave of Barcelona, ??the Majestic hotel, to honor the geniuses of the arts, who with their work ennoble and improve society. The sixth edition of these awards featured a gala dinner chaired by Ana Godó, director of Libros de Vanguardia and Vanguardia Dossier, Miquel Molina, deputy director of La Vanguardia, and Joana Bonet, director of Magazine, as well as the singular brilliance of Sílvia April as master of ceremonies.

“Nowadays everyone has their award, their gala… And it is legitimate, especially when it comes to recognizing talent, but not all awards are the same,” the performer introduced on stage and added: “The honors of these awards are profound, since honesty shapes the essence of their work and mission.”

The comedian alluded to the nine artistic personalities who were immediately awarded for their excellence. From the patron and art collector Francesca Thyssen for the TB21 foundation, to the couturier Josep Font and the legacy with which he has exalted Spanish fashion, the designer Sacha Lakic for his industrial art and the model Andrés Velencoso for his bravery and talent to undertake through the OTTO firm; the singer Israel Fernández for his magic on stage and also that of the actress Milena Smit on the big screen. The list of winners was completed with recognition of the solidarity work of La Roca Village with its Do Good project, the model and designer Laura Ponte as an inspiring reference, and the choreographer Blanca Li.

The impressive careers of all of them were enthusiastically honored not only with the awards ceremony but also during the interventions of Miquel Molina and Joana Bonet. The deputy director of La Vanguardia highlighted that since he started working in the sector “I have seen how the concept of culture, which was reduced to the plastic arts, advanced; Now it is impossible to talk about culture without mentioning fashion, gastronomy and many other disciplines that are extolled here today through these nine winners.”

After reviewing how during her long career she has discovered and been enriched by the talent of the winners, the Magazine director highlighted the “power of accompaniment that artists have”, in her opinion “the best cure for the soul”. Bonet thanked Renault, The Balvenie, CaixaBank, Simorra and OOTO for their support in carrying out the gala. A private performance by singer Marta Trujillo put the finishing touch to a night that celebrated art in all its facets.
