A 4-D, named Flag Day by the PP-A a year ago, complicated and complex. Andalusia commemorates during this December day the massive demonstrations that took place throughout the region back in 1977 to demand Andalusian autonomy, a historic day that is destined to be the subject of conflict between political parties and civil society this year.
Two demonstrations with different demands will tour Seville prior to the celebration of this anniversary. On the one hand, the rally called by the Economy and Society Forum “in defense of Andalusia and for equality among Spaniards”, to which the president of the Board, Juanma Moreno, has confirmed his attendance along with the councilors who are members of his Government, and which shows the rejection of the investiture agreements that Pedro Sánchez, president of the State, has reached to continue leading the Executive; and, on the other, the event called by the 4D Platform in “defense of health and public services and in the fight for peace.”
While Moreno Bonilla asks for equality among Spaniards, the platform asks the same for Andalusians, claiming what is public, just as Codapa, the Andalusian Confederation of AMPA for Public Education, does, an entity that calls for surrounding educational centers on Monday 4D for “ the lack of resources” for students with needs.
The leader of San Telmo and leader of the PP-A, Juanma Moreno, will take to the streets this Sunday supporting the call of the Economy and Society Forum to defend, as he explained, equality between all Spaniards, something that, in his opinion, is in danger after the agreements with the independence parties that Pedro Sánchez has reached to achieve his investiture as president of the Government of the Nation and that include both the amnesty to the ‘procés’ and the “economic privileges” to communities such as Catalonia and País Basque.
“We know that there is going to be a breakdown of equality and Andalusia is not going to accept it,” he explained, which is why the Board is going to “institutionally, judicially and politically defend equality among Spaniards and the treatment that an autonomous community deserves.” like Andalusia”, and “we are going to do it every day of this legislature, with education, but with the same determination”, announced the regional president.
While the head of the Andalusian Government champions equality among Spaniards, the rest of the political parties on the left reproach him for the lack of interest in achieving equality also among Andalusians, neglecting and “dismantling”, according to their complaints, public services.
“On days like today it is clear that you work for Andalusia little,” commented Juan Espadas, general secretary of the PSOE-A, “but draw on the Genoa arguments a lot.” The socialist leader has disgraced the fact that Moreno has announced his “institutional” presence in this demonstration and has denounced that “public resources”, such as the delegations in the provinces, have been used to encourage support for this concentration.
Espadas has assured that the popular leader needs to “whiten himself” after his party “denied” the 28F referendum and that he had not attended any mobilization or event on any previous December 4th.
This same idea has also been taken up by the leader of Por Andalucía, Inmaculada Nieto, who criticized Moreno’s “Andalusian outbreak” by calling to fight against “two-speed Spain” when this year “will be the first time that the right comes out the street” on the occasion of 4D, a day in which “the Andalusian people conquered their self-government, who conquered their institutions effectively in the street and at the polls, and where not only did they not have the right as an ally but they had it with a consummate resistance to there being that statutory development that would allow effective equality in Andalusia.”
This “false Andalusianism of the Popular Party” is also echoed by Toni Valero, coordinator of IU Andalucía and deputy of Sumar in Congress. It is “ridiculous” that the PP, which he has called “party of the privileged”, “sells to talk to us about equality,” he said.
All the political representatives of the parliamentary left have agreed in pointing out the deterioration of public health or education as well as other public services that is occurring under the popular mandate. “It causes a lot of embarrassment” that Moreno “talks about inequality when his policies are generating an unprecedented gap within Andalusia itself and with an extraordinarily serious situation that concerns employment or housing,” said Inmaculada Nieto.
The 4D Platform, made up of around thirty groups, including unions, social movements and political parties, and where the SAT, the Andalusian Intersindical (Ustea and the Railway Union), Marea Blanca, Podemos, IU, Adelante Andalucía, Andalucía por Sí o participate. Pacma, among others, will take to the streets on December 3 in “defense of health and public services and in the fight for peace.”
“We want an Andalusia where health and public education, education, decent pensions are respected, an Andalusia that is neither more nor less than anyone else, an Andalusia like no one else,” as expressed by Óscar Reina, leader of the SAT and one of the spokespersons for the 4D Platform.
For the 4D Platform, the phrase “Andalusia for itself, for the people and humanity’ is not an empty phrase, but is, above all, a declaration of principles.” In this sense, Esperanza Morales, from Marea Blanca, and spokesperson for the platform has stated that “the Andalusian Government of the PP does not respond to the needs of the social majority, since essential public services such as health and education are dismantled.” . “The Board refuses to lower the ratio in our public education while giving away huge sums of money to the private sector and opening the door to the privatization of primary care,” she indicated.
For his part, Fran Fernández, from the Andalusian Intersindical and also spokesperson, recalled that on this 46th anniversary “it is time to face the secular problems suffered by the Andalusian people and put emphasis on the need for political sovereignty to be able to decide our future”.
Scheduled for Monday 4D, the Andalusian Confederation of AMPA for Public Education (Codapa) has called on the entire educational community to mobilize against “the lack of resources” for students with special needs and educational support.
The Confederation, supported by four unions of the Education Sector Board -Ustea, CCOO, UGT, CSIF-, as well as by the directors’ associations Asadipre and Adián, have indicated that “public school families can’t take it anymore.” given the “regrettable state” in which the education of students with special needs and educational support is found and the “absence of resources” provided by the Junta de Andalucía.
María Jiménez, president of the entity, wanted to mention the tragedy suffered by thousands of families who are not being cared for as they should, as well as wanting to point out the “complaints” of “PTIS outsourced professionals” who “protect their poor conditions.” labor and those who are part of the Board’s pool take 25 days to be called by the Public Service.” “This situation affects the workers, but also the students with needs and their families, who bear the burden of care wherever they are. the Administration does not arrive,” he added.
In this sense, Codapa has stressed that it reaches December 4 calling for a “blue tsunami” with three clear demands: a regulatory framework that establishes a ratio per diversity care professional per student with special needs and educational support; guarantee the necessary human resources and means in all educational centers, meeting their needs; and the repeal of the decree that outsources the care of the most vulnerable students.
