ASI Paramjit Singh, who was on vacation in Dalhousie with his family, was taunted by locals who referenced the earlier incident at Chandigarh airport where a CISF woman constable allegedly slapped Kangana Ranaut. The situation escalated when a constable from Himachal Police also got involved and started arguing with Paramjit.
Paramjit tried to explain that he had parked his car in a spot where other vehicles were already parked, but the locals were not willing to listen. The tension increased when a constable from Himachal Police arrived and asked Paramjit to move his car. Another ASI from HP Police joined in and accused Paramjit of driving in the wrong lane. Despite being from UT Police, Paramjit faced misbehavior from the Himachal policemen and locals who were upset about the earlier incident involving Kangana Ranaut.
Paramjit alleged that the ASI and constable from Himachal Police refused to listen to his side of the story and instead supported the locals. He mentioned that the ASI even tried to take away his car keys, leading to a physical altercation where Paramjit’s phone was damaged. This incident left Paramjit and his family in shock, prompting them to cut short their vacation and return home.
Despite filing a complaint with the DGP of Himachal Pradesh Police, Paramjit has not received any response yet. The lack of acknowledgment or action from the authorities has added to the distress faced by Paramjit and his family. The entire ordeal has highlighted the need for better communication and understanding between law enforcement agencies from different states to avoid such misunderstandings in the future.
