Silver Creek: The Ideal Destination on Lake Erie

Silver Creek, a charming town located in Western New York, is quickly gaining recognition as an emerging destination on Lake Erie. Visitors from near and far are flocking to this picturesque location to immerse themselves in the beauty and tranquility that surrounds the area.

One such couple, Kevin and Christian Cullen, recently opened Hideaway Bay Resort in Silver Creek. With a passion for paddleboarding and a keen eye for unique lodging experiences, the Cullens saw an opportunity to create a haven for outdoor enthusiasts. The resort offers beachfront amenities, outdoor activities, and a new restaurant called Drift, which boasts a menu featuring high-end steak, mussels, oysters, and more.

“We’ve always been drawn to unique recreation experiences during our travels,” Kevin Cullen shared. “Western New York is truly a hidden gem when it comes to outdoor recreation, and we wanted to showcase that through Hideaway Bay Resort.”

Hideaway Bay features 10 cozy cottages nestled along the shores of Lake Erie, each equipped with two queen beds, a private rooftop patio, and a pullout couch. While the summer season may be coming to an end, the resort plans to remain a sought-after destination for guests to enjoy throughout all four seasons in Western New York.

Guests staying at Hideaway Bay have access to a plethora of outdoor activities just steps from their cottage doorsteps. From steelhead fishing to paddleboarding and kiteboarding, there is no shortage of ways to experience the natural beauty and adventure that Silver Creek has to offer.

Kevin Cullen highlighted the diverse array of outdoor activities available in the area, stating, “There’s world-class paddling, wind sports, fishing, mountain biking, ice climbing, snowboarding, and so much more. Silver Creek truly has something for everyone, no matter the season.”

Since its opening, Hideaway Bay has welcomed visitors from across the mid-Atlantic region to as far as Europe. The Cullens have been pleasantly surprised by the interest and excitement surrounding their resort, with guests traveling specifically to experience the unique offerings of Silver Creek.

“We initially expected visitors coming for events like weddings or to see Niagara Falls,” Cullen explained. “But we’ve been thrilled to see people driving in just to check out Silver Creek after discovering it on social media. It’s truly rewarding to see the positive response from guests.”

In addition to the resort’s offerings, Hideaway Bay will be rolling out a new menu at Drift restaurant next week. The resort will also be hosting a kiteboarding and watersports festival from October 4th to 6th, further solidifying Silver Creek as a premier destination for outdoor enthusiasts.

As Silver Creek continues to gain recognition as a top destination on Lake Erie, Hideaway Bay Resort stands out as a hidden gem for travelers seeking adventure, relaxation, and unique experiences in Western New York. With its stunning natural surroundings, diverse range of outdoor activities, and warm hospitality, Silver Creek is truly an ideal destination for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
