Huntsman Corporation recently unveiled a cutting-edge innovation hub in Tienen, Belgium, showcasing its commitment to advancing Research and Development (R&D) capabilities and serving its regional customers. The new facility, spanning 11,000 square meters, is equipped with state-of-the-art amenities, including a world-class analytical laboratory, two large machine halls, and fully automated product testing facilities. These resources will enable Huntsman to drive product innovation from initial ideas in the lab to the creation of advanced systems and samples for customer assessment.

With over 100 scientists from its Polyurethanes and Performance Products divisions, the innovation center aims to integrate Huntsman technologies across key sectors such as adhesives, coatings, automotive, elastomers, energy, furniture, bedding, and insulation. The inauguration ceremony was attended by more than 100 guests, including customers, suppliers, local officials, and business partners. The event featured presentations by Huntsman’s Chairman and CEO, Peter Huntsman, as well as Tony Hankins, President of Huntsman’s Polyurethanes business. Attendees had the opportunity to tour the facility, witness live R&D demonstrations, and participate in a ceremonial ribbon-cutting, signifying a new chapter in Huntsman’s dedication to innovation and customer-focused solutions.
